Best Rock Tracks of the Year 2015

Metal Hammer Magazine has just given away a free CD entitled ‘Monsters of 2015′ with their January issue to wrap up the year, and what a belter it is. Featuring Japenese tiny tots Baby Metal who’ve had many hardened rocker’s heads scratching with opinions being divided.

Meanwhile sister Magazine Classic Rock has also rounded up 2015 with a 15 track CD to delight us fans alike. These free rockin’ songs will definitely be given a good few spins well into the New Year here in the office and the old 3 cylinder Vehicle.

Favourites of Maiden’s very own Steve Harris, the Finnish band merge symphonic orchestra and metal sublimely together here. From the album ‘Endless Forms Most Beautiful’

From the 16th studio ‘Pylon’, Jaz Coleman and co, theres Jagged guitars riffs, tribal drums and anthems aplenty. Here’s one from their latest.

14. Ghost: From The Pinnacle To The Pit.

The swedes continue with their shlock rock showmanship from their latest 70’s occult influenced album ‘Meloria’.

15. Motorhead: Thunder & Lightning.

After the tragic loss of rocks last icon, Mr Ian Fraser ‘Lemmy’ Kilmister, this track is a fitting last outing for a man who lived Thunder & Lightning til it got him. From Motorheads final studio album ‘Bad Magic’
